Dr. Gooden

DVM

Emergency Veterinarian

Eau Claire

Dr. Amber Gooden grew up on a hobby farm in Minnesota and moved with her family to Eau Claire when she was 12. Her interest in veterinary medicine took root early, and by age 16 she was already working at a local veterinary clinic.

Dr. Gooden graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2010 and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Before joining Allied Veterinary Emergency & Referral as an Emergency Veterinarian, she spent nearly nine years practicing veterinary medicine in the Eau Claire community.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Gooden lives on two acres outside Eau Claire with five dogs, eight cats, and one fish, many of whom have special needs. She enjoys hiking with and training her dogs, caring for her many houseplants, and spending time with family. She also works with ECCHA as a veterinarian and foster caregiver.
