Advanced Internal Medicine Care for Complex Conditions.

When a pet’s symptoms persist, a condition becomes difficult to manage, or the diagnosis is not straightforward, Allied’s Internal Medicine team is here to help. Our internal medicine doctors provide advanced diagnostic evaluation and individualized treatment for dogs and cats with complex, chronic, and multisystem diseases.

Located within our Brooklyn Park hospital, the department has access to advanced imaging, specialized procedures, and collaborative support from Allied’s emergency, critical care, surgery, and oncology teams. This allows us to provide coordinated care for patients whose needs extend beyond a single specialty.

Veterinary internal medicine doctors and nurses undergo extensive training beyond veterinary school. This includes intensive residency training focused on conditions affecting the endocrine, digestive, urinary, respiratory, and immune systems, along with advanced diagnostics such as endoscopy and ultrasound.

At Allied, our Internal Medicine service is led by doctors who have completed residencies in Small Animal Internal Medicine, working alongside a highly trained team of nurses who assist with advanced diagnostics and provide ongoing patient monitoring.
