Sara earned her degree in Veterinary Technology from Argosy University in 2009. Although she always knew she wanted to work with animals, she realized early on that becoming a veterinarian wasn’t the right path for her. Initially pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Zoology, she discovered the field of Veterinary Technology while completing an internship at the Minnesota Zoo — an experience that inspired her to take a more hands-on role in animal care.
Sara found her passion in emergency medicine after starting in general practice while earning her degree. Thanks to the guidance of a great mentor who encouraged her to explore ER medicine, she made the switch and hasn’t looked back since.
Outside of work, Sara enjoys reading, kayaking, hiking, visiting breweries, exploring the local food scene, and spending time outdoors in the sunshine.
